Exciting news for Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry as her family welcomes two new members! The 31-year-old reality TV personality has given birth to twins, a son and a daughter, with her boyfriend Elijah Scott. The happy news was confirmed on the latest episode of the Barely Famous podcast released on Friday.
Lowry and Scott shared that the twins arrived slightly ahead of schedule at 11:36 and 11:40 p.m. The babies were born five weeks premature, but the couple didn't disclose the exact birth date, mentioning that the podcast was recorded when the twins were 6 weeks old.
In a special episode of the podcast, Lowry and Scott discussed the twins' birth experience, revealing that they were delivered via C-section. Lowry, who had never undergone a C-section before, expressed her initial fear, especially since it became necessary due to her son being breech.
The reality star candidly shared her apprehension about the procedure, noting that Scott wasn't allowed in the room during the surgery. Lowry also expressed concern about her well-being, revealing that she couldn't feel herself breathe due to the medications.
Lowry confirmed that she chose to have her tubes tied after the birth of her youngest child, addressing the common notion of potential regret after such a procedure. Despite not regretting her decision, she acknowledged that she wouldn't have been upset if she had become pregnant again.

The podcaster expressed a preference for a medication-free birth, highlighting the side effects she experienced coming off the drugs. She cautioned listeners about overactivity during recovery, recounting a personal incident where she accidentally ripped open her incision while doing housework.
Lowry, reflecting on her C-section, stated in her notes, "I hated every minute of it, wouldn't recommend it to anyone," though she mentioned no major complications.
Scott shared his nervousness while witnessing Lowry's struggle through the experience. The new additions join Lowry's other children from previous relationships, making her a mother of six.
