"Jodie Sweetin's Husband Expresses Gratitude on Her 42nd Birthday: 'Thanks for Putting Up with Me,' Tribute to 'My Much Better Half'"

 

Jodie Sweetin's husband, Mescal Wasilewski, took to Instagram to express his love for his "better half" as the Full House alum celebrated her 42nd birthday on Friday. Wasilewski shared a playful tribute featuring multiple photos of the couple accompanied by a heartfelt message.

"Happy birthday to my much better half and adventurous traveling partner @jodiesweetin," he wrote in the Instagram post. "Thanks for putting up with me and looking forward to some more random trips to bother you on. Love you, babe. The dog wanted me to send bday wishes as well."

In response, Sweetin expressed her love, saying, "Love you so much … I can’t wait to pester you in various beautiful locations all over the world."

Leading up to the special day, Sweetin and Wasilewski enjoyed a "weekend getaway" to celebrate her birthday. Wasilewski shared photos from the adventure, including their stay at a 10-acre Airbnb in Julian, CA.

"It was quiet and restful. There was food. There was a wolf sanctuary. Massages. Food. Horses and ducks on the land. And of course, food," Wasilewski captioned the post.

Sweetin acknowledged the thoughtful planning of the getaway, saying, "You always plan the perfect getaways for us … where you know I can turn off, reset, be in nature and find my calm."

The couple, who began dating in 2017, tied the knot in July 2022 after nearly five years together. Sweetin shared insights into their married life ahead of their first anniversary, emphasizing the strong connection and support they share.

"We just are still enjoying each other. We get along so well," Sweetin revealed. "He just is so supportive of everything that I'm doing. He's so excited for all the new stuff that's coming up for me. But most importantly, we just enjoy being together. He's wonderful with my kids."

Sweetin, who has daughters Zoie and Beatrix from previous relationships, praised their ability to coexist and stay connected despite their busy lives. She described Wasilewski as a "really great partner" and highlighted the natural flow of their relationship.

"He's a really great partner — a really great partner," Sweetin added.
